We take proactive steps to ensure the safety of every student, teacher and administrator, relying on both state-of-the-art and common-sense solutions to protect our schools.
We only allow students to enter through the specific doors that are monitored by teachers/administrators and student resource officers in the mornings and at dismissal. Once the morning bell rings, a controlled entrance is the only access to the building. This ensures that every visitor to our schools must show their ID to enter the building. All visitors are required to sign-in in the front office through our visitor management system and must wear their name tag at all times. This program runs a background check and notifies administrators and the school resource officer if there is a red flag.
All exterior doors feature an electronic key system. Every staff member is thus tracked every time a door is opened, allowing CCS to keep a watchful eye 24/7.
In addition, all staff members are required to wear their ID Badges at all times, and all students must carry their ID Badge with them while in class and traveling the hallways.
Another top priority is the health and well-being of our students. We have always implemented all state and federally recommended steps to ensure the safety of our students, teachers, and visitors. Students, teachers, and staff who are not feeling well are encouraged to stay home.
