Making Education Better

We are a district with a bold vision for today – and an eye toward our future. As a district, we are committed to Engage, Inspire, and Empower both our students and our teachers. By presenting unique educational opportunities while inspiring curiosity through exploration and research, we are empowering students and staff to become 21st-century learners and leaders.

With a focus on high expectations for academic, personal, social, and emotional growth, we are ensuring that our students graduate college- and career-ready for whatever tomorrow holds.

Enroll Your Child

Whether your child is brand-new to school or transferring here from another school district, we welcome you into our Catawba County Schools family!

Dual Language Immersion

Our youngest students’ adventure starts with either the Traditional Pathway OR the Spanish Immersion Pathway where students learn all the NC Standards... just in Spanish! We offer Spanish Immersion beginning in Kindergarten at 4 elementary schools.

The Education Foundation for Catawba County Schools is helping to make education better by improving student success by investing in our teachers. We are fortunate to be the sole beneficiary of the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Since 2018, the Ed Foundation has invested over $60,000 in our teachers and future teachers through college scholarships, innovation grants, and more.

Student:Device Ratio

Being 1:1 is more than just all of our students having their own Chromebook to use at home and school, it's also using robots to learn math and literacy lessons, plus so much more!

Dual Language Immersion Schools

Language immersion programs are an exciting option for parents who want their children to have the advantages of a rigorous academic program while also learning two languages – English and a target language. In a Spanish immersion program, Spanish is not taught as a subject; Spanish is the language in which instruction is delivered.

Scholarships Awarded

The class of 2023 was proudly awarded over $25 million in scholarships from prestigious colleges and universities across the nation. The academic, college, & career counseling that our counselors provide help our students become college- and career-ready.

Online Catawba Students
