Startown Students LOVE 'Hour of Code!'

Startown Elementary School students are participating this week in Hour of Code, which is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries. Startown kicked off the week with many classes participating in hour long basic computer programming activities where they created computer games using such platforms as Minecraft, Star Wars, and Frozen, and Angry Birds. Our 5th grade coding “experts” collaborated with several classes in younger grades, and even our kinders and PK students are getting in on the fun. Our goal is one hour of coding for each student, but judging from today’s excitement, we are sure to surpass our goal!
