  •  This Week at the Creek: April 23-27

Field days are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. We will be monitoring the weather forecast closely and will check the conditions of the fields outside on Monday to determine if we need to move field day to April 30 and May 1. The current weather forecast is calling for a lot of rainfall between now and Tuesday. We will update you all with a follow-up phone call on Monday afternoon to confirm or reschedule field day.

Kindergarten DIAL screening appointments are for this Monday. If you have a student entering kindergarten in the fall, we look forward to seeing you at your appointment time.
6th grade parents are invited to ENCORE orientation night to learn more about elective programs at RBMS this Tuesday evening at 6:30.
Highway 55 is hosting Spirit Night for Lyle Creek PTO this Thursday evening. If you have dinner at Highway 55, please let them know you are supporting Lyle Creek.
You can still order a full color Lyle Creek yearbook. Place your order soon before they are all gone. Send your order in an envelope with $20, and please include your child's name and homeroom teacher on the envelope.

Have a great week at the Creek!

    Leadership Day

Parents: Please review the safety letter below than went home with students on Monday, April 9. We appreciate your help in maximizing instructional time for our students and maintaining a safe environment at all times!

    Safety Letter to Parents

This is an important announcement from Nurse Sprinkle:

We have seen several cases of the flu at school recently. As a reminder, please keep your chid at home and consult their doctor if they have:

    • temperature of 100 degrees or higher
    • headache
    • muscle and body aches
    • tiredness
    • cough
    • vomiting and diarrhea

To keep the spread of illnesses to a minimum, DO NOT send children back to school until:

    • They have been without a fever for 24 hours (without fever reducing medicine, like Tylenol or Motrin).
    • It has been 24 hours since their last episode of vomiting or diarrhea.
    • It has been 24 hours since their first dose of antibiotics for anything like strep throat, pink eye, etc.

Thank you for your help in keeping our students and staff healthy, happy, and ready to do their best!
