Field Days Rescheduled
Due to the weather, we have decided to reschedule both field days. The grades 3-6 field day will now be on Monday, April 30, and the Pre-K-2 field day will be on Tuesday, May 1.
Lyle Creek Leadership Day is May 10, 2018, from 8:30-11:00 AM! Come see and hear about our adventure with the 7 Habits this year!
Free/Reduced Lunch Applications
Parents will need to go online to https://www.lunchapplication.com/ to complete the free and reduced meal benefit application. Paper applications will not be sent home with students this year. This application must be completed each year, so get yours in before benefits expire.
Campbell's Soup Labels
Please bring in your Campbell's Soup Labels to help Mr. Robinson earn new PE equipment for our gym.
You can still purchase Lyle Creek car/refrigerator magnets for $5. Please send money in an envelope clearly marked for magnets.
Field days are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. We will be monitoring the weather forecast closely and will check the conditions of the fields outside on Monday to determine if we need to move field day to April 30 and May 1. The current weather forecast is calling for a lot of rainfall between now and Tuesday. We will update you all with a follow-up phone call on Monday afternoon to confirm or reschedule field day.
Have a great week at the Creek!
Angela Garcia, Principal
Save the Date: Lyle Creek Leadership Day is May 10, 2018, from 8:30-11:00 AM!
Make plans now to join us! Come see and hear about our adventure with the 7 Habits this year!
Enjoy speeches about the Habits from students from all grade levels, enjoy the 5th grade Wax Museum, hear from students about our clubs, listen to our students share about their Special Olympics experience, check out Leadership notebooks from some our classrooms, and enjoy performances from our Pre-K through fourth grade students. Our sixth graders will be working behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly on this special day: serving breakfast, leading tour groups, helping with set up and sound, and explaining the rotations to our guests.
Join us as we celebrate leadership at Lyle Creek on this special day! Please share to help us spread the word about this event! All families and community members are welcome!
Parents: Please review the safety letter below than went home with students on Monday, April 9. We appreciate your help in maximizing instructional time for our students and maintaining a safe environment at all times!
This is an important announcement from Nurse Sprinkle:
We have seen several cases of the flu at school recently. As a reminder, please keep your chid at home and consult their doctor if they have:
• temperature of 100 degrees or higher
• muscle and body aches
• vomiting and diarrhea
To keep the spread of illnesses to a minimum, DO NOT send children back to school until:
• They have been without a fever for 24 hours (without fever reducing medicine, like Tylenol or Motrin).
• It has been 24 hours since their last episode of vomiting or diarrhea.
• It has been 24 hours since their first dose of antibiotics for anything like strep throat, pink eye, etc.
Thank you for your help in keeping our students and staff healthy, happy, and ready to do their best!
