If you have not completed InfoSnap for your child, please do so as soon as possible. This includes vital information for teachers and the school to be able to contact you in an emergency and includes Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) that allows your child to use the school Internet. If you do not know your child's code, please contact your child's teacher.
Did you know you can keep up with your child's grades with the Power School app? You will need your child's code. Please email or call Heidi Jones our data manager for the code.
If you haven't sent in $6 for your student t-shirt please do as soon as possible. Students will wear these for field trips and other special days. They will be sent home at the end of the year.
December is here! Cooler temperatures… disappearing daylight. The upcoming weeks can become quite overwhelming as families prepare for family gatherings, special travels, and perhaps some shopping outings in preparation for special traditions. As much as we’d all like to feel that we are organized and well-prepared for the upcoming weeks, each family deals with the stress of the holidays in different ways. Oftentimes, children fall victim to later bedtimes, hectic trips to the store for that last item, and sometimes experience first-hand the financial stress that plagues many families during this time of the year. Routines often fall to the wayside along with daily reading practices, consistent homework support, and even family meals. At times families need to make a concerted effort to see that the rush and stresses of the holiday season do not seep into their child’s daily routine and need for consistency.
In a time where the hope for a peaceful and tranquil holiday season is sought and the act of giving is contagious, we have been able to collect food and warm clothes for needy families over the last couple weeks. I appreciate everyone who was able to donate. Please pay attention to our Next two Missions of giving that we will start in December. Thank you for helping our students learn about giving to others during this holiday time. Your donations are greatly appreciated.
With the winter months and more severe weather conditions of winter, please make sure you are receiving our weekly calls and are on Dojo. This way we can reach you in case of weather related closings.
The week of December 16th the Student Council and Safety Patrol will be hosting holiday dress up days. (refer to the calendar) They are asking for a $1 donation on each of these days ($5 for the week) to go toward recess equipment for each classroom. These donations, while not required, are greatly appreciated as this initiative is led by students to improve recess and recess equipment.
Many blessings to you and your family this holiday season!
