• Harry M. Arndt Middle School is located in the suburbs of Hickory, North Carolina. It is one of five middle schools in the Catawba County Schools District, and is in the Saint Stephen's High School fedder area. Arndt serves 7th and 8th graders, and has a current enrollment of 672 students. Arndt employs 37 full-time teachers, who are all highly-qualified in the curriculum they teach. Arndt offers a a well-rounded education in the areas of core academics, arts, and career and technology development. Arndt also offers a wide variety of athletics, clubs, activities, and competitive events to encourage school involvement and spirit.

    -Adolescence is a period of significant physical, social, and emotional change; therefore, this age student should be educated about those changes in a caring environment that builds self-confidence through self-awareness.

    -The arts, humanities, technology and the advisor/advisee program are integral parts of the middle school concept.
