Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Wendy Turcotte

I grew up in the Mint Hill area outside of Charlotte. I attended UNC  Greensboro out of college and transferred to UNCC and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education K-6. After graduation, I took time of from work to have my son Brycen. I began teaching for Iredell County schools and then transferred to Catawba County to be closer to home. I then returned to school at Gardner Webb University for my Masters in Elementary Education.

I live with my husband, Paul, my son Brycen that is now thirteen and he is in the eighth grade and we have our fur baby that is a German Shepherd named Daisy-Mae Christmas. We enjoy many activities as a family including water sports, camping, traveling, hunting and baseball. We really enjoy any thing that we can do as a family. Brycen's passion has been baseball since he could hold a ball and he plays year round so my passion is watching him succeed. In my free time I love to read, travel to new places and I love to celebrate the holiday season.

I have taught kindergarten, first and second grade and I enjoy each grade differently. I am very happy with my job and I feel that I am truly doing what I love to do each day.
