Degrees and Certifications:
Hello, my name is Cynthia Field. I grew up in Long Island, New York. As a young adult I started my college career in the performing arts. I received an Associates Degree in music and dabbled a little in some performances around Long Island and New York City. While doing so, I went to school to continue my education with a double major in Education and social work. I received a Bachelors Degree with my Certification in Education. I began teaching in 1997 in Queens, New York where I spent most of my career teaching in 3rd and 4th grades. I went back to school and received my Masters Degree in 2001. After Teaching for 11 years in New York I decided to move down to this beautiful state of North Carolina and teach here. I started teaching at Claremont Elementary School in 2007 and transfered to Sherrills Ford Elementary School in 2010 because it is closer to Mooresville. This is where I live. I love teaching in Catawba County and wouldn't want to teach any where else in the state.
I spend my evenings and weekends doing my other passion, which is baking family recipes for others to indulge upon. I also love to travel back to New York to visit my family and friends whom I miss very much.
