I started teaching at Clyde Campbell School in 2000. Before that I was in Watauga County teaching at Watauga High School. I have coached Volleyball, Track, and Softball and I love participating in all sports. My husband is the assistant athletic director and coaches at Lenoir Rhyne University. We have two children Ashley and Bradley. Ashley is now in grad school at UNC Chapel Hill. She is studying to a Physical Therapist and also got married in May. Bradley attends Arndt Middle School and is in the 7th grade. I graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I am truly blessed to be teaching at Clyde Campbell and working with so many wonderful people!
My Philosophy about Physical Education: The ultimate aim for my Physical Education program is to provide students with the skills necessary to live healthy active lifestyles. Regular involvement in physical activity has been proven to increase test performance, raise self-esteem, reduce the incidence of life threatening disease and produce a postive impact on the social and emotional well-being of an individual.
