District Renames Curriculum Building in honor of Glenn E. Barger

On Sunday, November 24, Catawba County Schools gathered with community members, colleagues, and friends to officially rename the former central office building at 10 East 25th Street, Newton, as the "Glenn E. Barger Building."

During the heartfelt ceremony, former colleagues shared stories of Mr. Barger's extraordinary 34 years of service to Catawba County Schools as a teacher, principal, and superintendent. His unwavering dedication to education and leadership continues to inspire, even beyond his retirement, through his many contributions to our community and his role as a founding member of the Education Foundation for Catawba County Schools.

Thank you, Mr. Barger, for your incredible impact on our schools, students, and staff.
