At yesterday evening's Board of Education meeting, we had the opportunity to recognize Mrs. Beth Gordon Isenhour's 37-years of service to our school district with a plaque presented to Mr. Johnny Isenhour and his family. An identical plaque will be displayed at Mill Creek Middle School, where she served as its first principal. We miss her leadership, but her legacy remains in Catawba County Schools!
We want to extend a special welcome to our newly elected board members, Mrs. Annette Y. Richards and Mr. Jeff Taylor. We'd also like to welcome back Mr. Ronn Abernathy, who is beginning his third term of service with our board. Dr. Leslie Barnette was elected as our Board Chair, and Mr. Glenn Fulbright was elected as the Board Vice-Chair.
We want to thank Mr. David Brittain and Mrs. Cathy Starnes for their service to our Board of Education. Thank you Mrs. Starnes for the special quilt you made for me, although we are the ones that should be giving you the gifts for all your service!
