Engage. Inspire. Empower.

Good evening CCS families,

Yesterday, Governor Cooper released updated guidance in the North Carolina Department of Health & Human Services’ StrongSchoolsNC Public Health Toolkit which outlines what North Carolina public schools could and should do with regard to the pandemic. Keeping our students and staff healthy continues to be our highest priority. As we consider how best to operate in the upcoming school year, we will continue to work through this new guidance and consult with Catawba County Public Health and other officials. When we have finalized decisions regarding face coverings, social distancing, and more, we will send out another message to all of our families.

As a reminder, in-person school will be held five days per week beginning on August 23, 2021. If you have not already enrolled your child for the upcoming school year, please visit www.catawbaschools.net/enroll. If you have a returning student, you should have received an email with the subject "Catawba County Schools Returning Student Registration for <Student Name>" from "noreply@catawbaschools.net." If you have not received your email by next week, please contact your school.

We look forward to welcoming all of our students back on August 23rd!

Sincerely,

Matt Stover
Superintendent
