Engage. Inspire. Empower.

The USDA's free breakfast and lunch program with continue for all K-12 students through the 2021-22 school year. With that assistance already in place, we still encourage families who would likely qualify for free/reduced-priced meals to apply.

This application may be used to qualify families for other benefits such as P-EBT, FCC-EBB, waived fees for ACT/SAT, college applications, academic fees, and other programs.

If your child was receiving benefits in a Catawba County School at the end of the 20-21 school year you will need to reapply by the following date to avoid a lapse in benefits:

  • Challenger students - September 21, 2021
  • All other students - October 4, 2021

Some examples of additional programs that your family may benefit from if you qualify for free or reduced-priced meals:

  • School/classroom fees waived
  • Discounts for internet services
  • P-EBT cards
  • Waived fees for ACT/SAT, college applications, academic fees, etc.
  • And much more!

To apply, go to www.lunchapplication.com -- This is a safe and secure website. This form must be submitted each year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your school cafeteria manager.
