This year, celebrating its 100th Anniversary, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards recognize student achievement in the visual arts and creative writing. It is the nation’s most prestigious recognition program for creative teen artists and writers, which identified the early promise of Sylvia Plath, Truman Capote, Ken Burns, and Andy Warhol. In 2022, students across the United States and Canada entered more than 260,000 original works in 28 different categories of art and writing.
