  • This Week at the Creek: October 16-20

This Wednesday is an early release day for all Catawba County Schools. We will dismiss students at Lyle Creek at 11:30 on Wednesday. We invite students and staff to wear your favorite college or NFL football shirts on Wednesday.

Check your child's backpack for details about the dance this Friday afternoon beginning at dismissal and lasting until 5:00 pm. To protect the privacy of all students and ensure items are not misplaced, we are requesting that students do not bring cell phones and electronics out during the dance. As we work to teach students to be good digital citizens, we appreciate everyone honoring this request.

    Upcoming dates to remember…

    10/18 - Early Release Day
10/20 - Fall Dance - from dismissal until 5:00 pm
10/30 - Teacher Workday - No School for Students
    11/3 - PTO Fall Festival

Have a great week at the Creek!

An important announcement from PTO concerning our fall fundraiser:

On Monday, we are beginning our PTO fundraiser for the Fall and we need your help to make it as successful as it can be. We will be selling Southern Living Cookie Dough along with gift items, gift wrap, kitchen utensils, gourmet chocolates, jewelry, and magazines. Please take a few minutes to look at the brochures that your child is bringing home on Monday
and make your purchases. We would then encourage you to show the brochures to family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers so they can also have the opportunity to help us out. There are many great rewards for the students including a return trip to Bank of America Stadium where the Carolina Panthers play football. They will see the 47 million dollar renovation that was done to the stadium over the summer and get to meet Sir Purr or one of the Top Cat Cheerleaders. Look for the COOP chicken Reachout booklet and help your child complete seven different names and addresses to out of town friends and family. They will be rewarded with an exciting prize for doing so. Thanks for supporting Lyle Creek Elementary School.
