The Banoak Buzz: Week 2 of At-Home Learning, March 30-April 3

Many of you have inquired about getting school work back to our teachers for grading.  We have a couple of options to do this.  The quickest and easiest way is to submit student work digitally through email or Class Dojo by taking pictures.

If you have trouble with digital submission, we will have a tent set up in the back bus lot for you to drop off Week 1 work tomorrow, March 30th, from 8am to 4pm.  We'll have envelopes for you to write your student's name and homeroom teacher's name on; then just drop the envelope in the appropriate grade level box.

Our teachers have worked hard to develop an additional 4 weeks of work that will carry us through the projected May 15 date.  Due to the Stay-at-Home Order, we will be evaluating how to get these packets to you.  Please stay tuned for more information on this.

Lastly, we have canceled all field trips for this school year.  If you have sent payment in for a trip, we the following options for you:

    1.  Full refund

    2.  Roll over to next year's field trip fund (This is not an option for 6th graders.)

    3.  Put into your child's lunch account.

    4.  Donate the money to cover our end of year school lunch debt.

Please fill out this Refund Survey to let us know which of the above options you prefer.

Still need to request a Chromebook for your child to use for At-Home Learning? Click here. Remember that if you fill out the Chromebook Request Form, you are agreeing to follow the Chromebook policies, including paying for damages. After you complete the Request Form, please contact the school to arrange a time to pick up the device.

We miss our Chargers, and we want to know how you are doing during this challenging time.  Please fill out our Charger Check-In Form to let us know how you are doing and if there is anything we can do to help you.

The Banoak Community has done a great job of being positive and working hard to keep our Chargers learning in this trying time.  Thank you to our parents, students, and school staff for continuing to Charge Forward and Charge Together!
