To discover, nurture, and develop the potential in all students, the Catawba County School System endeavors to meet the diverse cognitive and affective needs of gifted children through high quality educational experiences. These services address the unique needs of gifted students who exist within all ethnic, geographic, and socioeconomic groups. Therefore, we believe the school system, parents, and community have a shared responsibility to provide a quality education for gifted students that includes an emphasis on 21st Century Skills, enabling our gifted students to be productive citizens in a global society.
