Let me introduce you to this little girl, a third grader, who attended Startown Elementary School many years ago. She has many great memories of Startown… the caring teachers and staff who challenged her to be her best, recess out by the old cannery, the familiar musty smell of the old gym, the fall carnivals, the talent shows and sliding down the green banisters of the old brick school house (when no one was looking). Startown Elementary School provided the safe, nurturing environment and educational foundation that enabled this little girl to grow up to become your principal at Startown Elementary School.
It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I return to Startown as the Lead Learner (for aren’t we always learning and growing?) I bring with me over 20 years of educational experience, most recently as principal of Jacobs Fork Middle School, and I can’t wait to get to know and be a part of the rich heritage and community atmosphere of the Startown family. I am excited to continue the legacy of helping your child achieve his/her personal best and to join our excellent staff as we continue to “lead and inspire.” I am looking forward to a very successful year!
