From the Principal

  • Moving forward…

It’s nearly a new year and time to reflect on all the exciting opportunities Startown Elementary has been able to provide for our children. More than that, I am honored to have had the chance to become a part of this wonderful learning community and am so thankful for your acceptance of me as your ‘lead learner.’ Together, we have learned, laughed, loved, and created new experiences…our students have read, traveled, calculated, and coded, among other things. 2016 holds the promise of continued opportunity for our students (and staff) to learn and grow. The possibilities are endless! As we venture into the New Year, let’s move forward as a school community to continue to provide the very best education for our students. We are looking forward to the implementation of our Makerspace, our upcoming Career Day and Lego Night, awesome spring field trips, and collaboration with our families and community members, as well as our continued focus on engaging and rigorous instruction in our classrooms. At the beginning of the year, we asked, “What inspires you?” I encourage you to continue to BE INSPIRED in 2016. Together we are limitless!
