Parents:  You can check your child's grades online at any time using the following link: 

Regular School Hours: 8:05 - 3:15 ..... so if your child needs to leave during Block 4, he/she cannot depart the classroom prior to 2:42 in order to be counted present for B4.

Attentional all Tenth Grade Students and Parents!!!  10/17/2014 3:03 PM

The state-required PLAN will be administered to tenth graders on Thursday, Oct. 23.  Students are to bring two #2 pencils and a calculator.  Calculators and batteries will NOT be provided.

We ask that students are not tardy or absent.  Students who are absent will still be required to take the test.  We also ask that no tenth grader be signed out during the testing which will be from 8:15 until 11:30.
Congrats to the Marching Indians  10/16/2014 8:04 AM

The Marching Indians competed in Wytheville, Va over the weekend.  The band took 1st place in the 5A competition and finished 2nd out of 15 groups, overall.  Colorguard adn percussion had the highest scores of the day!!​

On a rainy night and wet field, senior linebacker Tristan W. was the defensive leader as the Indians pulled out an exciting 36-30 homecoming win over Patton. On the night, Tristan tallied 12 solo tackles and 10 assist. For this reason, Tristan is our Athlete of the Week.

We congratulate Tristan W. as this week’s Five Guys Burgers and Fries – Observer News Athlete of the Week. The plaque is presented by program sponsor Five Guys Burgers and Fries Manager Meg Mottinger Lambert and linebacker coach Matt Jones.

The 2014 Powder Puff Flag Football game is scheduled for Thursday, October 27 at 7:00pm.  Admission is $5.00

College Application Work Session  10/14/2014 11:46 AM

Do you need some dedicated time to work on your college applications?
The counselors are planning an after school
college application work session in Computer Lab 101 on Tuesday, October 14 from 3:30 to 4:30.  Students can sign up for this work session in the Counseling Office.  The session is limited to 27 seats.  One counselor will be available to monitor students, answer questions and provide assistance.
This is work session #5.  The next one is planned for October 21.  Students can attend as many sessions as needed.
