Melanie Sigmon
EDUCATION
Mrs. Sigmon joined the SSHS counseling staff during the 2011/2012 school year. She graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne ('84) where she majored in psychology, minored in sociology, and received teacher licensure in 9-12 social studies. She taught US History and Civics/Economics at Concord High School for two years before returning to graduate school at UNC-Charlotte where she received her MEd in school counseling with additional licensure in administration. She spent 15 years as a school counselor and received NBCT certification in 2004.
