This is my 10th year as a school counselor. Prior to coming to River Bend, I worked as a middle school counselor in Statesville for 5 years and as an elementary school counselor for 2 years. I also worked as a counseling intern for Crossroads Behavioral Healthcare in Statesville for 1 year.
I grew up in Catawba County and graduated from Bunker Hill High School. My undergraduate degrees are in Psychology and Human and Community Services from the Lenoir-Rhyne College. I went on to earn my Master’s degree in Community/Agency Counseling with School Certification from Lenoir-Rhyne College. I completed a Post-Master's Degree in Advanced School Counseling through UNC-Greensboro in May 2009 and earned my National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) in School Counseling in November 2010.
River Bend has a special place in my heart. As an employee and resident of this area, I feel honored to work here and proud of the educational experiences our school provides.
