About Mrs. Rink
*This is my 11th year teaching and my 8th year at good ol' Oxford.
*My great-grandmother taught here when it was a K-12 school, so I feel right at home! Although she didn't walk these exact halls, I know her presence is here to help me!
*I went to ASU! Go Mountaineers!
* I earned my Master's in Reading Education from ASU in 2003 and became National Board Certified in 2005.
* My philosophy of education: Learning and teaching should be fun, but it is also work. With work comes growth, and with growth comes SUCCESS!
*Tucker is my four-year-old son and my sunshine each day. He has helped me gain a new perspective on my students and my parents at school; I want for every child what I want for my son: to be loved, to learn the value of work and goals, and to be successful, to have fun, and to laugh every day!
*I have three dogs - Pocket, Bayla and Smokey. Smokey is an old Dalmation, who tries to eat everything he can. Bayla is a vibrant Lab Mix who thinks she owns Smokey. And Pocket, the toy Poodle, runs our lives!
*Teaching is my life. I think of things at 3 AM to do with my class. Tucker helps me grade papers. (Well, not really. He just thinks he does.) A trip to the store means buying something for my class. I love freshly sharpened pencils and books. I LOVE SCHOOL
