What I do

This will be my ninth year teaching here at Oxford.  I taught 5 years in fourth grade and 2 years in fifth and this will be my second year in third.    

Educational Background

I went to Sherrills Ford Elementary School and Catawba Middle School. I graduated from Bandys High School in 1998 and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from University of North Carolina at Charlotte in December of 2002.  In 2008, I completed my Master's Degree in Library Science.  I have also completed 90 hours of classes to earn my local licensure to teach Academically / Intellectually Gifted students. This past school year I completed my National Board requirements.

My Family

My husband, Chris, grew up in Oxford community.  We met in middle school and have been married 8 years September 20..  We have one son, Cole, who turned 5 in May and are expecting another child in late March early April. He is the highlight of our lives and keeps us quite busy. He loves to play any kind of sport including golf, baseball, basketball, and football. We also have 2 lovable dogs: Molly (5 years), and Bo(4 years).
