Merry Christmas!

Christmas Break is almost here!  We are studying the Holocaust during World War II.  Our class has been watching a video that is an account of an actual survivor.  The class party for our classroom will be 1:15 on Monday, December 19.

World War II

We have just finished up our short study of World War I.  Now we are starting to learn about World War II.  This unit will include our study of the Holocaust from the perspective of one survivor.  We should finish this unit before the Christmas break.

LDPs next 2 weeks!
6th grade will take LDPs the next 2 weeks.  LDPs are practice EOGs.  The tests are for Language Arts and Math.  The test data will be used not as a grade, but to see how we can better teach your child.

Feudalism

This week we learned about Feudal society during the Dark Ages in Europe.  We have discussed how the King would give land to Lords.  The Lords in turn had Knights that would fight for them.  Peasants farmed the land that the Lords owned and in return were protected by the Lord.

 

Next week we will start our study of the Renaissance time period.
