SYSTEM-WIDE DRESS CODE
The Catawba County Schools Board of Education enacted a system-wide Student Dress Code in 2000. This code is strictly enforced at Mill Creek. All guidelines will be addressed in the "Agenda"; however, as parents, you should keep the following information in mind.
-
Spaghetti straps, bare midriffs, and revealing tops will not be tolerated at Mill Creek.
-
Pants which sag, bag, or drag will not be tolerated at Mill Creek.
-
Facial painting which detracts from the learning of others will not be tolerated.
-
No hats, bandanas, kerchiefs or handing belts may be worn at any time -- even if it does match a student's ensemble.
-
Short shorts will not be tolerated. Keep in mind that your child has probably had a growth spurt since last year. Shorts should be fingertip length or longer.
-
Do not allow your child to wear bedroom slippers or pajamas to school unless a theme day has been approved and announced by the school.*
