Maiden Middle School > Media Center

 Welcome to MMS's Media Center

Our media center contains over 9,000 books available to students, a professional library for staff, and thirty-two computers with Internet access.  It is open Monday thru Friday from eight o'clock am until three-thirty pm.  If you need to stay after school to work on a project or do research, please see Mrs. Harris.  She will try to accommodate your needs.

Students may check out two books at a time or up to four if needed for a report, project or Battle of the Books as long as none are overdue.  Books are checked out for a two-week period.  Reference books, encyclopedias, and dictionaries may be checked out overnight.  Periodicals may be checked out for two weeks.  Students and classes visit the media center on a flexible schedule for checking out and returning books.

 Technology Resources

At Maiden Middle School, we are very fortunate to have 30 iPods, 10 iPads, document cameras, mounted projectors in each classroom, schoolpads or Mobis in each classroom, netbooks, laptops, and personal response systems.  Below are resources dealing with our technology.
