Oct. 24:  Students participate in a role-play in which they consider the trade-offs of taking a medicine when they are ill.  They weigh advice from older siblings and relatives, recommendations from a doctor, and precautions from medication labels.  In deciding on a course of action, students also consider what information they do not have.  A literacy strategy guides discussion to help students process the ideas presented in the role-play.
