3.  Read over Ch. 1, Section 1-3 tonite and Tues. nite!

 

Detailed the scientific method - 7 steps!

 1.  Review class notes - esp. definitions

2.  "Scientific Method in Action" sheet is due Thurs.

 

Reviewed 7 steps to scientific method and began practicing with the creation of hypotheses and how to differentiate between independent and dependent variables.

Same as Mon.

Reviewed 7 steps, discussed terms such as dependent vs. independent variable.

Worked as a class to carry the "Beriberi Case Study" through the scientific method, then worked on pairs to do the "Penicillin Case Study."

Practiced identifying dependent and independent variables with a sorting activity.

 

Began writing hypotheses from three experiment examples - worked in collaborative groups.
