Lynn Holland
I have been teaching at Jacobs Fork Middle School since 2004. Prior to moving to the Mt. View area from Gastonia in 1996, I taught math at Shelby Middle School for eight years. Having chosen to stay home while my children were young, I also worked as a private math tutor and as a part-time instructor at Catawba Valley Community College.
My husband and I and our two children enjoy living in this community. In my spare time, I enjoy activities with my children's school and sporting events. Other interest include working in my yard and outings at our family farm in Wilkes County. We enjoy picnics, hiking and riding four-wheelers.
Another interest of mine is traveling. My favorite memories come from trips to Washington D.C., Hawaii, Grand Canyon and St. Augustine Florida. I have also traveled abroad to several European countries and Australia.
Having taught young children through college-age adults, my favorite students are 8th graders. I thoroughly enjoy working with my fellow educator at Jacobs Fork and having an impact on students' lives.
