FUNDRAISERS 2009-2010

On-Going Fundraisers

Jason's Deli: The first Monday in each month from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm is Foard Band Night at Jason's Deli on Hwy 70 in Hickory.  Customers must notify the cashier in order for us to get credit.

Fuddruckers: The third Sunday in each month (from opening to closing)  is Foard Band Day at Fuddruckers at the corner of Hwy 70 and Lenoir-Rhyne Blvd in Hickory.  Customers must notify the cashier in order for us to get credit.

Order Taking Fundraisers

Tiger Cards (Aug 26 to Sept 12):  The sale is officially over, but we still have Tiger Cards available if you want one.  Contact a band member or Mr. Neely.  They are $10.00 each.  The discounts are good from September 30, 2009 till September 30, 2010.  Cooperating Vendors Include: Hannah’s BBQ South, Dos Amigos, Jason’s Deli, Fuddruckers, Domino’s, Shoe Carnival, Subway, Mt. View Car Wash/Laundry, Community Video, Pretzel Time, Quality Cleaners, Hickory Dickory Dock, Nail Studio, Body Works Central and Deborah’ Gifts.

Florida Citrus Fruit (Sept 20 to Oct 28):  The Fruit Sale is the Band's largest order-taking fundraiser.  We will be selling--Navel Oranges (Small = $19.00, Large = $28.00), Pink Grapefruit (S = $18.00, L = $28.00), Hamlin (Juice) Orange (S= $18.00, L = $28.00) and Tangelos (S= $18.00, L = $28.00).  Fruit Day (pick-up/delivery day) is Thursday, November 19, 2009.

Cheesecake/Cookie Dough:  The Cheesecake/Cookie Dough Fundraiser is from November 5 to November 16th.  We have added Coffee also.  The products will be delivered the week of December 7th.  All monies should be turned in before the Christmas Holiday.

Notes:  Make all checks out to the Foard Band Boosters.  Remember students earn "trip credits" towards the band's annual spring trip by participating in the Booster's order-taking fundraisers.

Football/Marching Band Related

• Foard Band Classic--The Foard Band Classic is the band's largest non-order taking fundraiser.  The date is October 24, 2009.  Please see the Foard Band Classic page for more information.
• Other:  The band sells Spirit Items (sweat shirts, hats, towels, etc.) at all the home football games.  The band also sponsors the Pot-of-Gold (50/50 Raffle) at each home game.

Other

Second Semester, the Boosters sell candy (dates TBA) and sponsor a BBQ/Car Wash/Bake Sale (dates TBA).

Booster Meetings

Meetings of the Foard Music Boosters are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 in the band room.  Attending the meetings is the best way to keep abreast of all the information about the band.  All parents of students in the Foard Band program (Concert Band I, Marching/Concert Band and Guard) are asked and encouraged to attend.  Your support, work, effort, attendance and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
