Mrs. Jennifer Kanipe

Jennifer Kanipe is the secretary for Foard. She was born in Hickory, NC and attended CVCC. She has been at Foard for 17 years and says “The faculty and students are great!”

In her free time Ms. Kanipe enjoys reading and going to the beach. She has two sons Jeffrey and John David and a daughter, Laura. Jeffrey is a 2005 graduate of FTF and is a junior at UNCC studying civil engineering. John David is a 3^rd grader at Blackburn. Laura is a sophomore here at FTF. Ms. Kanipe enjoys pulling for the Atlanta Braves.

Mrs. Howton

Tammie Howton works in the front office here at Foard. She was born in Charleston, SC. Ms. Howton substituted for a few years for Catawba County and some Hickory City Schools before she worked in the office.

In her free time, Ms. Howton enjoys spending time with her family and shopping with her daughter, Crystal. They have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 turtles.

Ms. Howton's favorite thing about working at Foard is working with all the students.

Ms. Williams

Janice Williams is also a secretary in the front office at Foard. She was born in Cleveland County. She graduated from FTF and enjoys working at the school.

In her free time, Ms. Williams enjoys playing with her dog Zoie, going to car shows, and she enjoys doing things with her family. Ms. Williams has two grown, married children, one son and one daughter. Both her daughter and daughter-in-law are school teachers.

Officer John Helton

John Helton is the resource officer here at Foard.

Mr. Keener

Seth Keener is the ISS teacher here at Foard. He was born in Syracuse, NY and attended UNC-Pembroke. He has been teaching for 5 years. He is an assistant football coach and the JFMS wrestling coach.

In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and thinking of ways to make Coach Stillwell’s life miserable. His favorite team is the NY Yankees.

Mr. Keener’s favorite thing about Foard is the great students.

Mrs. Vogel

Marianne Vogel is our school nurse. She was born in New Jersey and attended UNC-Charlotte. She has been a nurse for about 4 years. Before School Nursing she worked in the pediatric unit at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

In her free time Ms. Vogel enjoys exercising, making crafts, and reading. She also enjoys pulling for her favorite team the NY Yankees. She and her husband, Channon Vogel, who is also a teacher here at Foard, have a little girl, Riley Nicole, who is 7 ½ months old. Her favorite thing about Foard is the staff. She says, “They are great to work with!”

Mrs. Wellmon

Norma Wellman is a native of Catawba County. She has been at Foard for nine years and teaches the North Carolina Information Highway, Learn NC, and Virtual High School classes.

In her spare time she enjoys sewing, dancing, swimming, and pageants with her daughters. Mrs. Wellman is married and has 3 children, 1 daughter-in -law, 2 Yorkies, 1 cat, 2 turtles, and 8 granddogs.

Mrs. Wellman enjoys the staff and students best at Foard.

Mrs. Weaver

Kay Weaver is our data manager. She was born in Catawba County and attended CVCC. Previously she has worked at Claremont Elementary and Extended Day High.

In her free time Ms. Weaver enjoys spending time with the youth at her church. She and her husband are Youth leaders. She also likes to garden, read books, and work on different crafts. She has been married to her husband, Dennis for 27 years. They have 2 grown sons, Dale and Aaron. They have 2 cats, 2 dogs, and a granddog.

Her favorite thing about Foard is that it is her alma mater. She says “Foard is a family school. I graduated from here, and know a lot of the students through their parents and other relatives.”
