Mr. Blevins

website

Andy Blevins teaches Geometry, Honors Geometry and AP Stats here at Foard. He attended Lenoir-Rhyne College and Appalachian State University. Before coming to Foard he was a math teacher, a smoke jumper, and he modeled designer clothes.

He likes to play golf, fish, hike and travel. His lovely wife is a media coordinator at Foard.

Mr. Shook

Mr. Jeff Shook has been teaching math for over 15 years. He graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne College (B.S.) and NC A&T University (Master). His wife's name is Vickie and he has two children, Erica and Brad.

Mr. Shubert

David Shubert teaches Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, and Algebra 2. He was born in Hickory, NC and attended UNC-Charlotte. He has been teaching for 19 years he taught previously at Mooresville High School for one year. This is his 18^th year at Foard. He is the assistant golf coach.

In his free time Mr. Shubert enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, serving at his church, and serving with the Gideon's International. He and his family like to spend time together at home, sporting activities, and at church. They like to go to amusement parks, Alabama football games, and the beach. Mr. Shubert’s favorite teams are Alabama (roll tide baby) and the Atlanta Braves.

His favorite things about Foard are the students and the faculty which are great to work with. He also loves how supportive the parents are.

Ms. Simpson

Caron Simpson teaches Algebra I. Ms. Simpson was born in Key West, Florida and attended Western Carolina University. This is Ms. Simpson’s 26^th year and she has taught at other schools including Blackburn Middle, Jacob Fork Middle, and Edwards Jr. High in Rocky Mount, NC.

In her free time Ms. Simpson enjoys reading, swimming, shopping, gardening, and spending time with family. She also enjoys pulling for her favorite team NC State. Her favorite things about Foard are the faculty and student body which make FTF a great place to work.

Mr. Stewart

Jason Stewart teaches Advanced Functions and Modeling. He was born in Hickory, NC and attended Appalachian State with a BS in 1996 and a MA in 2006. He has been teaching for 13 years. He coaches men’s and women’s cross-country and track and field at Lenoir-Rhyne College.

In his free time Mr. Stewart enjoys spending time with his family, his wife Emily and his four children. He also enjoys working out playing basketball, running, weightlifting, and biking. His favorite teams are the Washington Redskins, the Carolina Panthers, Duke and the Boston Celtics.

Mr. Stewart’s favorite thing about Foard is the friendships he has made with his coworkers.

Mr. Vogel

Channon Vogel, one of our Algebra teachers here at Foard, was born in New York. He attended Waynesburg College and has been teaching for 9 years. Besides teaching math at Foard, Mr. Vogel is the head varsity baseball coach.

In his free time, Coach Vogel enjoys spending time with his wife, Marriane, and their children Riley and Aiden. He also likes traveling, weight training and playing sports. His favorite sports teams are Duke, Steelers, and the Cubs.

Mr. Vogel’s favorite thing about Foard are the school colors.

Mr. Goforth

Mr. Goforth attended both Gardner-Webb and N.C. State University. He majored in Math and Computer Science, and he graduated in 2003.

Before beginning to work at Foard, Mr. Goforth taught at Bandys High School for a year. Mr. Goforth is also the Men's Soccer Coach. He enjoys the administration, location, and the fact that the students are well-behaved here at Foard.

Outside of teaching, Mr. Goforth enjoys playing with his pit bull (Princess) and coaching soccer.

Carla Shook teaches Honors Algebra 2 and Algebra Connections here at Foard. She attended Appalachian State University. Before coming to Foard, she was a math teacher at West Caldwell, a church secretary, and a stay at home mom.

She likes to read, hike, and camp with her family. She has three young children. When asked what she most liked about Foard she replied, "Overall Foard has a very positive atmosphere. Students and staff are very friendly."

Mrs. Smith

Angie Smith teaches Geometry and Tech Math. She was born in Jacksonville, NC and attended UNC-Asheville where she received her undergrad and Appalachian State where she received her graduate degree. This is here 6^th year teaching and she previously taught at JFMS. She is the varsity cheerleading coach.

In her free time Ms. Smith enjoys playing with her daughter, Bailey, and reading. She is married to Chad Smith who also teaches here at Foard. Her favorite teams are Duke and the Carolina Panthers.

Ms. Smith’s favorite thing about Foard is the friendly faculty that works hard to do what is best for the students.
