Exceptional Children

 Shannon Lynn

Shannon Lynn attended Appalachian State University. Her major was Special Education k-12 and graduated in 2009. Before working at Foard, she worked at Staples, and Subway. This is her 1st year at Foard and is teaching Occupational English IV, Occupational Preparation I, and Occupation English I.

When asked what she likes most about Foard, she answered she feels at home, the faculty is great, and it is an honor to teach with the ones that taught her. She loves to play sports, ski, and spend time with her family. She is also the assistant varsity softball coach at Foard.

Lester Moats teaches Biology, Physical Science and Earth Science.  He was born in Jefferson County, Georgia and attended the University of Georgia.  He has been teaching for 24 years and taught at many other schools including:  Louisville High in Georgia, North Surry High,  St. Stephens High,   Forks Junior/Senior High in Washington,   Blackburn Middle, and Catawba County Mid Tech.      
          

In his free time Mr. Moats enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family.  He also enjoys pulling for his favorite team the University of Georgia.  His wife Vicki teaches here at Foard.  Their children are Eric, Robin, Brentley, and Charla and their grandchildren are Dylan, Ethan, Jasmine, and Nathan.

Mr. Moats’ favorite thing about Foard is the good learning environment.

Jodi Buckland has been an Exceptional Children's teacher at Fred T. Foard for four years. She attended SUNY at Canton and SUNY at Plattsburgh where she majored in Psychology and Education of Exceptional Children. Before working at Foard Ms. Buckland taught Exceptional Children at Mountain View Elementary. Ms. Buckland's favorite thing about Fred T. Foard is its amazing students.

  Vanessa Chambliss has worked here at Fred T. Foard since December 2007 as an EC Cluster teacher. She attended East Carolina University and transferred to Lenoir-Rhyne University where she received a BA in psychology. She loves Foard for its students, staff, and welcoming environment.
    Mrs. Chambliss has a husband, Chris, and her daughter, Sidney. She loves to read, travel, go to theme parks, and spend time with family and friends.

 Mrs. Miller

Kelly Miller teaches occupational courses. She was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and attended Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. Although this is her first year at Foard she has been teaching for 4 years previously at Webb A. Murray Elementary School. Mrs. Miller is an advisor for the Juniorettes club.

In her free time Mrs. Miller enjoys reading, being outside, riding motorcycles, and golfing. Her favorite college team is Penn State and her favorite pro team is the Pittsburgh Steelers. She has been married to Coach Miller for 3 years. They have two dogs name Gryffindor and Murray.

Her favorite things about Foard are the students, the staff, and having a planning period.

 Ms. Shull

Stormy Shull attended CVCC for two years,and then attended Appalachian State where she graduated with a BS in Special Education K-12. Before beginning a career at Fred T. Foard, Ms. Shull worked for sixteen years at Blackburn Middle and Jacobs Fork Middle as a teacher assistant. She currently teaches Algebra Connection, Inclusion English I, and English I at Foard. Ms. Shull loves the students at Foard.

Outside of Fred T. Foard, Ms. Shull enjoys playing basketball, softball, volleyball, and playing with her grandchildren.
