Dear parents,
Welcome to another year of FTF athletics. It’s time to start gearing up for the fall sports season. With that comes plenty of work on behalf of the teams and the coaches. We are asking you to get involved. It’s more than just money we need…we need all kinds of volunteers. We need you to share your talents and connections. Below is a list of positions and their description to see where you fit in.

Sports calendar coordinator – work with athletic director to gain game schedules and team photos. Contact 12 local businesses for ad space. Coordinate with printer. Distribute through community.
Corporate banner committee members – help Mike Holland sell banner sponsorships and hang banners at each home football game.
Football concession stand coordinator – purchasing food and supplies for each home football game. Opening the stand at 4:00pm (I can do this) manage the volunteers during game (we have someone signing up volunteers). Clean the stand at the end of the game.
Soccer concession stand coordinator – purchase food and supplies for each home game. Coordinate volunteers to man stand during games. Open and close stand.
Grounds maintenance – manpower is needed for field cleanup. Weedeaters, small mowers and leaf blowers. Painters are needed for storage buildings. Construction workers are needed to make repairs on storage buildings, and build two ticket booths. Baseball field is in need of major grounds repairs.
Team parent liaison – each team needs a parent to report any news, wants and needs to the boosters at monthly meetings.
Golf tournament committee members – advertising, door prizes, goodie bags, raffle
Capital fundraising committee head – major capital expenditures are on a waiting list. Funds are needed to make these wishes come true. We need someone to come up with a major fundraiser we can do annually to build up our bank account!
As you can see it takes a lot of people to make things happen. If you can find it in your heart to share some of your time and your talents with us we would truly appreciate it. Please contact me or any board member and we’ll get you started!

***Fall sports parents mark your calendar for Monday, August 11. Gather in the cafeteria at 6:30pm for a light dinner and fellowship, move into the air conditioned gym at 7:00pm for a meeting with school administrators, then disperse to small groups with coaches.
