-Some years we decide to have team captains, and some years we don't, this year we did, and the team captains are: Hayden Albert, sr.; Zack Edwards, sr.; Jeremy Fredell, sr.; Caleb Griffin, sr.; and Ben Pitts, jr.

News:
On Febuary 26, 2011, the team won the NORTH CAROLINA 3A STATE TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP! The team scored 90 points, 2 points more then runner-up Union Pines. This was the first time in school history any men's team won a state title in any sport. Hayden Albert was the runner up losing a heartbreaker in overtime. Caleb Griffin took 3rd place, while Jacob Harper took 4th. Dillon Johnson and Cole Schanilec took 5th. Zack Edwards and Jeremy Fredell went 1-2 as State Qualifiers.
-The team had 7 state qualifiers. Regional Champs: Hayden Albert, 160; Dillon Johnson 171. Reginal Runners-up: Caleb Griffin, 112; Jacob Harper, 145; Zack Edwards, 215; Cole Shanilec. 3rd place: Jeremey Fredell, 135. This allowed the team to win the 3A West Regional Championship. 4 other wrestlers made it to the "match to go" match: Dylan Cassidy and Ben Pitts both lost in overtime, and Caleb McRorie, and Tyler Stasiak came up just short of being state qualifiers.
-The team finished as dual team western regional runners-up for the first time ever (the final 4 in the state, and a final record of 29-2).
-All 14 wrestlers qualified for the 3A West Regionals.
-Northwestern 3A/4A All Conference Team: Caleb Griffin 112, Shawn Stevens, 130, Caleb McRorie 140 Champ, Jacob Harper, 145 Champ, Hayden Albert 160 Champ, Dillon Johnson 171, Zack Edwards 215, Cole Schanilec 285 Champ. These individuals made it to the conference tournament finals earning the right to be named all-conference.
-The team wins the dual team conference championship for the 2nd time with a perfect 6-0 record.
-The team wins the Northwestern 3A/4A Tournament championship for the 1rst time in school history.
-Coach Carey won Coach of the Year in the Northwestern 3A/4A conference.
-Coach Carey was selected by Mat News as the North Carolina 3A Coach of the Year. Coach Carey was also 2nd in the voting for North Carolina H.S. Coach of the Year. N.C. head coaches were the only people allowed to vote in this poll done on Retro Rankings. He received 17% of the vote in this pole.
-Coach Elmore became a faculty member at Foard HS and full time coach for the Tigers.
-The team won the Jamie Tuttle Individual Tournament for the first time ever.
-The team won the North Lincoln Dual Tournament for the first time ever.
-The team won the Tiger Land (back-to-back) for the 2nd time ever.
-The team won every individual tournament they entered (5-0).

News:
-The Foard Wrestling team won it's first conference championship in school history. The Northwestern 3A/4A tri-champs!!!
-The Foard wrestling team was the ONLY team in the 3A western region to qualify all 14 wrestlers.
-The Foard wrestling team made the state duals for only the second time in school history, and advance to the round of 16.
-3 Foard Wrestlers became state qualifiers: Jeff Buchanan 103, Jacob Harper 140 and took 5th in the state, and Cole Schanilec 285. Foard finished 4th in the 3A West region.
-The Tiger Land Classic Tournament was cancelled due to weather.
-The Northwestern 3A/4A Conference Tournament was cancelled due to weather.
-All Conference: Jeff Buchanan, Caleb Griffin, Mike Vincent, Jacob Harper, Zach Pitts, Hayden Albert, and Dillon Johnson.
-The team got caught in the snow storm coming back from a cancelled match from St. Stephens. A ride that should have taken 25 minutes, took over 4 hours with Ms. McRorie driving a bus!
-Coach Josh Speagle joined the FTF wrestling staff after graduating 3 years ago.
-Coach Zeb Elmore joined the FTF wrestling staff while doing his student-teaching at Foard.

-Coach Carey took over the Foard Wrestling Program.
-Won 2008 Tiger Land Tournament for the first time in school history.
-Jeremy Griffin ( senior,125lbs.) became a state qualifier going 1-2 at the State Tourn.
-The team went 6-3 in the last year of the CVAC.
-Coach Carey won CVAC Coach of the Year in his first year at Foard HS.
-Coach Crawford was an asst. coach/student-teacher at Foard HS.
-Coach Kanupp became an asst. coach at JFMS & Foard HS after graduating from Foard HS in '08.
-Coach Aquavius Hunter was an assistant coach for the start of the season before going over to Iraq in the Army.
-Coach David Shook took over the JFMS program as head coach.
-The Foard Tiger Youth League was started for 3rd-6th grade students.
-Jeremy Griffin and Hayden Albert were all CVAC.
-The Eye of the Tiger Wrestling Club was started.
-Team membership more then tripled from previous year to 28 members.
-Team dual wins more then doubled from previous year to 17 wins.

Year 1: This was a team that may have been a little short on talent, but not on heart. It believed the new coach when he talked about building a dynasty, and they bought in. In 3 short years, we took a bunch of kids that nobody thought could win, and turned them into state champs!
