Interested in engineering and related science

Seniors in the top 10% of your class and wish to attend BU, also must be active leaders in school and community. 

Students who are African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American, or Hispanic American can apply.  You must be a citizen or legal permanent resident or national of the US, have a GPA of 3.3 (unweighted), be enrolling for the first time at a US accredited college or university, have demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities,  and apply for the FAFSA (must meet federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria).  

Wants to apply for a merit co-op scholarship

Chosen to pursue construction and construction related careers

Any Senior interested in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, drafting, and related fields may apply.

Full scholarships to highly talented students majoring in Computer Science or Information Technology and Systems.  Apply for admissions and check the box labeled “National Science Foundation Scholarship Program.”  Call 1-800-436-5483 or email admission@marist.edu with questions. 

US Citizen

Hispanic/Latino students must have a GPA of 2.5 or better and have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership potential, and a commitment to community service.  Applicants can attend a two- or four-year college/university.  Preference is given to students who enroll full-time and foreign-born or native born of foreign-born parents.

Any senior that is a member of a local NCS USBCA and bowling in a certified USBC North Carolina youth league.  Applicant must have an unimpaired amateur standing in bowling.

any student can apply.  Scholarships are worth $2500 to a student who has applied for full-time acceptance to a four-year college/university. Please send application in directly to the office on LR Blvd

Any BHHS senior can apply for this scholarship.  The student that wins must attend one of the public NC colleges or universities, be a resident of NC, have a 2.5 GPA or higher, have financial need, and demonstrate leadership, excellence of character, integrity, an community involvement.

Seniors must have a disability (physical or learning) and can either be nominated by Mrs. Moore or a Vocational Rehabilitation counselor.  Scholarship is based on achievement, not financial need.

Students who can prove they are descendents of a Confederate soldier are eligible for this scholarship.  All money may be renewed for up to four years.  Start the research now.  Mrs. Moore has more information in the guidance office.

any senior that is a NC resident, planning to enroll in higher education in NC, and planning to enroll in an accounting degree program can apply.  See Mrs. Moore for an application.

The Green Room Community- senior must have been active in drama and/or community theatre (Acting, backstage, volunteering, etc.).
