My name is Sheila Joyce, and I love teaching at Bunker Hill!  I started here as a student teacher many years ago (29 to be exact), and I never left!  In my time here, I have taught Spanish, English, and Journalism.  I firmly believe there is no better place to teach in all of Catawba County.  I know that we have the best students anywhere.

I graduated from Newton-Conover High School, and then from Appalachian State University.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree in English, with a minor in Spanish.  My Master of Arts degree is in Reading Education.

My husband and I live in Newton with our dog, Ernie.  We enjoy traveling and working in our yard-- a job that is never finished, it seems.
