Hello, my name is Doug Watters. 

    I want to welcome you to the Freshman Academy and our English One class. I am looking forward to this new year together with you. I have been teaching at "The Hill" since 2005. However, my connection to the school goes much further back, as I attended Bunker Hill from 1977 until graduating in 1981. Oh, but the connection doesn't end there, because my brother is also a Bunker Hill graduate.

    Now those were my past connections and one might think the connections ended there, but they continue with each new class of freshmen. Only time will tell how these connections grow and develop.

    I do have something of a future connection to look forward as my daughter will attend school here in few years. I am really excited about her joining the connected community of "The Hill".
