My name is Lu Ellen Spurrier, and I am a Catawba County native.  I came to Bunker Hill as a lateral entry teacher to the Exceptional Children's department.  I have worked at Maiden Elementary, Maiden Middle School, Tuttle Middle School and Startown Elementary either as a substitute teacher, a teacher assistant or a bus driver.  My previous profession was as a social worker in the protective service department of Iredell County.
