Research Tips

  • take notes - don't copy and paste anything except for citation information
  • check to see when the webpage was last updated
  • utilize websites that are sponsored by professional organizations and institutions (look for website addresses ending in edu., .org or .gov)
  • check the website for biasness
  • use multiple formats for resources - print (books, journals, encylopedias), online databases, valid websites and professionals (people)
  • do not procrastinate
