BigSun Scholarship...2011

Eligibility: 
The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. In order to do our part we are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in.

Angie Pratt Memorial
Grade: 12
The Angie Pratt Memorial Scholarship is given annually to a Bandys High School Female Student-Athlete.  The student-athlete must have a 3.5 GPA, lettered in two Varsity sports during her senior year and plan to attend a two or four-year college or university.

Eligibility:
• Be a graduating senior of Bandys High School
• Have an overall “B” average or above
• Participate in extracurricular activities
• Financial need
• Show leadership ability
• Exhibit overall high standards (moral character, sense of self-worth, positive attitude, initiative, etc.)

American Red Cross BloodStock Scholarship
Grade: 9; 10; 11; 12
To qualify for the scholarship drawings, a student must plan and organize a blood drive within the Southeast Division (Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi Gulf Coast, portions of Florida and portions of Tennessee).  For additional information, visit the website listed below.

DRS Guardian Scholarship Fund
Grade: 11; 12
Eligibility:
• Dependent of a National Guard member who died in an operational or training mission in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, or Operation New Dawn
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 and have been accepted to a nationally/regionally accredited community college, technical school, or 4-year college/university

Abbott & Fenner Scholarship

Write an essay on the following:  What was the most difficult time in your life, and why?  How did your perspective on life change as a result of this difficulty?
