High Student Performance Goals
All goals correlate with the Catawba County Schools Strategic Plan
Goal 1: To increase student achievement, a minimum of 94% of Balls Creek Elementary students will achieve proficiency (level 3 or 4) on the end of year assessment while attaining expected growth in reading (CCS - Goal 1).
Goal 2: To increase student achievement, a minimum of 77.2% of Balls Creek Elementary students will achieve proficiency (level 3 or 4) on the end of year assessment while attaining expected growth in math (CCS - Goal 1). (Percentage changed to meet AYP standards in Math)
Goal 3: To increase student achievement, a minimum of 80% of Balls Creek Elementary students will achieve proficiency (level 3 or 4) on the end of year assessment in writing as demonstrated on the North Carolina writing test (CCS - Goal 1).
Goal 4: To establish a baseline and then increase achievement by 5% each consecutive year for Balls Creek Elementary students as measured by the end of grade assessments for science (CCS - Goal 1).
Goal 5: to increase student achievement, Balls Creek Elementary will provide access to relevant technology by developing, implementing and expanding technological programs (CCS - Goal 2).
Goal 6: to increase student achievement beyond expected growth for students who are currently proficient (level 3 or 4) as measured by the end-of-grade assessments (CCS - Goal 1).
Goal 7: Balls Creek Elementary will examine disaggregated data to determine if discrepancies (ethnic, gender, etc.) are present and develop strategies to close the gap (CCS - Goal 1).
Goal 8: To provide intervention strategies for students who are at-risk (level 1 or 2) to increase student achievement to proficiency (level 3 or 4) by 3% each consecutive school year as measured by the end of grade assessments (CCS - Goal 1).
Goal 9: to insure all students are reading at grade level proficiency by the time they reach second grade (CCS - Goal 1).
Goal 10: Balls Creek Elementary School will maintain or exceed 96% student attendance at the end of the school year (CCS - Goal 1, Goal 4, Goal 5).
