From The Principal

  • Welcome to Balls Creek Elementary! My staff and I are very excited to begin another school year. We have lots of new and exciting opportunities planned for our students this year. We have added a STEAM lab where all students will participate in active and engaging hands-on learning. We are also creating a Maker Space in the media center. Keep watching as the transformation unfolds!

At Balls Creek we are committed to creating a positive and nurturing learning environment for your student. We encourage all parents to get involved. Contact your child's teacher for opportunities to volunteer.

School News

Fun Run Week at Balls Creek
During the week of September 21st, the students and staff participated in "Fun Run Week" as we started getting excited about raising funds for our school during the upcoming Fun Run.  Due to rain, the Fun Run has been rescheduled for Thursday, October 1st and we're excited to see how much money has been raised for our school!

Our Very Own Outdoor Classroom
Zachary Caldwell spent part of his summer building an outdoor classroom for his alma mater, Balls Creek Elementary School. He chose this project as part of an Eagle Scout service project. It is a welcomed addition to the school.  Zachary is a recent graduate of Bandy's High School and will attend NC State University in the fall.  The students and staff would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to Zachary for giving of his time and resources to make this project a success.
