This years Battle of the Books team has been chosen.  The team will compete in the CCS district level competition on Monday, March 14, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Conover.

Battle of the Books is group of students who read 27 books each year and represent H.M. Arndt Middle School at the District Competition in March.  The team meets after school before the competition date to practice answering questions about the books and learn to work together as a team. The timeline for making next years team will be available in September 2011.

      Criteria For Making the Team

      Students are chosen for the team based on the following:

• Number of Books Read From the Annual List
• Scores from Scholastic Reading Counts Book Quizzes
• Teacher Recommendations
• Author\Book Test
• Book Question Test
