The School Nurses' play many roles within the middle schools.  Below are just a few of the many things that the nurses' do within the school.

 

Vision screening for 7th graders and by request from teacher, parent or student. Care plans for chronic health conditions.   A variety of health education classes are taught throughout the school year. EC screenings are also performed by the school nurse upon request from the EC teacher. Hearing will be checked by school nurse upon request of teacher's and if child fails hearing screening done by school staff.

Important Information for Parents

Please fill out the student emergency form which will be included in the packet of information at the beginning of the school year. These forms are to be returned  to school as soon as possible so that  the school health record can be updated and your school nurse will be aware of any health conditions that may need a plan of care and/or accommodations.
