Claremont Students Blastoff to Learning! | 11/4/2009

| With a push of a button, then a whoosh, an orange model rocket accelerates to the sky. Sixth grade Claremont students applaud each successful rocket launch.
Teachers (Maysee Ly, Shelly Speagle, and Heather Miller) explain that the rocket launch accompanies a study of space  travel and astronomy.
For several lessons prior to the launch, students followed detailed instructions to build their individual rockets, participated in research projects, and completed meaningful measuring tasks. 3..2..1..Blastoff!!  |
