This Week at Balls Creek

  • There will be no school on Monday March 27th due to a Teacher Workday.  School will resume as normal on Tuesday.

Report Cards will be issued on Wednesday this week.  If you have any questions about your child's report card please contact your child's teacher.

Our Terrific Kids ceremonies will be held this Wednesday morning.  The 3rd through 6th grade program will start at 7:45 AM.  Kindergarten through 2nd grade nominees will have their program at 8:30 AM.  If you have a Terrific Kid for 3rd quarter, you should have received a notice from the teacher this past week.  Congratulations to all our winners!

1st grade is attending an event at Lenoir Rhyne this Thursday for the "Little Read."

Just a reminder that school starts promptly at 7:30 am.  Students are expected to be in their classroom at this time.  Our school doors open at approx. 7:05 am. to help make this possible.  If you are not in the unloading line in front of the school before the bell rings, your child will be counted as tardy.  Please make an effort to get your child to school on time so that we can all start the day off on the right foot.

Our TAs and PTO are hosting a Lularoe fundraiser on Friday, March 31st from 1:30 - 3:30. Come on out and see all of the Lula goodies! Click here for more information.

From The Principal

  • Welcome to Balls Creek Elementary! My staff and I are very excited to begin another school year. We have lots of new and exciting opportunities planned for our students this year. We have added a STEAM lab where all students will participate in active and engaging hands-on learning. We are also creating a Maker Space in the media center. Keep watching as the transformation unfolds!

At Balls Creek we are committed to creating a positive and nurturing learning environment for your student. We encourage all parents to get involved. Contact your child's teacher for opportunities to volunteer.
